Materials and applications

Sibelco supplies silica (quartz) sands and flours, feldspar and nepheline syenite fluxes for glass/ceramics, kaolin and ball clays for ceramic bodies and glazes, and olivine for metallurgy and foundry uses. It also produces cristobalite via calcination of high-purity quartz under the SIBELITE® brand, used as a functional filler in engineered stone, coatings and polymers.
